Former police commissioner willing to take polygraph and drug test to prove leaked information from Barcelona president

Last month, former police commissioner Manuel Villarejo revealed interesting information about former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell’s imprisonment, saying that Joan Laporta was key in his arrest, leaking information about him to the police.

Villarejo said, “Although he is not a politician, there are three kinds of enemies in politic: the furious, the bloodthirsty, and the party colleague. In case of Mr. Rosell, it was Joan Laporta who gave us the information about him.”

Laporta was quick to deny the former cop’s allegations, with reports claiming that the information was categorically false and that he would take legal action against Villarejo, likely due to defamation.

Villarejo willing to take polygraph test

Villarejo has reappeared in an interview recently, and reiterated the statement he made over a month ago. He even claimed that he is happy to take a polygraph test to cement his claims.

“I would even be willing to do a polygraph test,” he said, according to Europa Press, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo.

“I am looking forward to a trial where I can provide each and every bit of evidence of what I have said and what I ratified,” he added.

Villarejo seems rather confident in his claims, and even went on to say that he will be happy to take a drug test.

“I don’t know if the other parties, everyone who wants to talk about me like that, would be willing to keep it. I’m delighted [to take a drug test].”

The former police did mention that the information allegedly provided by Laporta was not shared in an attempt to put him in prison, but instead to seek a place him as a key element in the independence movement for a series of action to be carried out against him.
