November 13 – AC Milan has opened an office in Dubai to reinforce its ties with key partners in the Middle East while tapping into commercial opportunities in the area.
Oil-rich nations such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have already tapped into club acquitisions including Paris St Germain, Newcastle and Manchester City.
Milan had announced last year plans to open the office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), saying it had 2.5 million fans in the Middle East area. The UAE is home to AC Milan’s main partner and Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates airline – a sponsor since 2007 – whose logo has been emblazoned on the shirts worn by their players since 2010.
The new office makes the Rossoneri the first Italian club to open an office in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa)
Giorgio Furlani, CEO of Milan, commented: “Casa Milan Dubai represents our commitment to global growth and our strong belief in the potential of the Middle Eastern market.
“This new office is not merely a physical space but a testament to AC Milan’s ambition to foster a stronger, more global football community, connecting hearts and minds worldwide.”
