The NUFC Blogcast is back for the second time this week, as me and Ed talk all things Newcastle United ahead of this weekend’s clash with Fulham (Listen here or press play below)
We look ahead to Saturday’s trip to Craven Cottage, where we take on a Fulham side who’ve had a pretty mixed start to the 2024/25 and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup this week after a historic penalty shootout!
I discuss one thing we must build on and one thing we must improve on following Sunday’s 2-1 win at Wolves, highlighting our strong starts (without scoring!) in recent away games and our tendency to be hit on the counter.
Me and Ed then look at some telling Nick Pope stats, tackle the Anthony Gordon/Harvey Barnes dilemma and explain why it MIGHT not be as simple as just shifting Gordon to the right as we find a way to start with our best three attackers.
Moving on to the Fulham game itself, we also discuss the latest team news and injury situations, run through some of the ones to watch in Marco Silva’s side and share our predicted XI’s, where we back Howe to make three changes.
