Newcastle can go top of the Premier League tomorrow – for 24 hours at least – with a win at Fulham.
Eddie Howe’s men have enjoyed plenty of good fortune this season but have, nevertheless, gained 10 points from a possible 12. They are third, level with Arsenal and two points behind Manchester City, who meet on Sunday.
Striker Alexander Isak is a doubt for the trip to Craven Cottage and will be assessed after training today.
Fulham are 12th after a solid start.
Their only defeat came on the opening night of the season at Manchester United. Since then they have beaten Leicester and drawn with Ipswich and West Ham.
