Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou avoided a damaging defeat in midweek but remains under pressure ahead of Brentford’s visit tomorrow.
Having lost the North London derby to Arsenal last Sunday, Spurs needed a morale-boosting win at Championship side Coventry City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. They got it, but only after late goals from Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson saw them squeeze through 2-1.
Tottenham sit 13th after four games but have lost back to back Premier League games.
Brentford are four places and two points better off despite a difficult set of fixtures with which to open the new season.
This is their third away game in the Premier League with the previous two coming at Liverpool and Manchester City. They have, however, enjoyed wins at home against Crystal Palace and Southampton.
