Werder Bremen would be right for feeling some trepidation ahead of Bayern Munich’s visit tomorrow.
There were eyebrows raised when Vincent Kompany was handed the reins in Bavaria after suffering relegation from the Premier League with Burnley last season. However, the former Belgium defender has made an excellent start at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern have won all five competitive games this season, with three coming in the Bundesliga to see them establish an early advantage at the top.
They won 6-1 at Holstein Kiel last weekend and followed that up by hammering Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in the Champions League in midweek.
Harry Kane has scored seven goals in those two games and the England captain is the man to watch again tomorrow.
Werder have made a solid start and registered their first win last weekend, a 2-1 success at Mainz, after opening with draws against Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund.
