Noni Madueke carrying himself superbly after top recent form – Talk Chelsea

It’s really worth honing in on words like this. It’s always good to take time and look at positives like this and really give it a focus.

There’s been a lot of doom and gloom around Chelsea lately and things have had a toxic feel. Many fans still feel this and a bit of a disconnection with the club. Only results and performances will change this in my opinion. Many fans see the vision too and are holding out hope for it to come to fruition. None of us know what is around the corner.

But in the meantime, whilst I’ll always call things out and speak about any concerns that I do have, I will always focus in on positive words like this too.

Noni Madueke has started this season on fire and long may that continue. He’s had the missing end product, and he’s stamped out the inconsistencies. If he can continue that then he will deserve to keep starting games on merit.

Madueke’s attitude has also rightfully been questioned by some fans, and I can certainly see why.

But in his latest words, he is certainly saying all the right things, and you can tell he is being completely genuine when he is saying all of this.

Madueke said:

“I feel like, every time I get the chance to play for Chelsea, such a massive club, I feel like it’s a thing of pride.

“You want it to do as best as you can, and I always want to improve my game and stuff like that. So this season, I just wanted to start as as well as possible.”

As a fan, this is exactly what you want to hear from your players, especially when you can fully see that they are being sincere with it.

To hear our players saying it’s a thing or pride to play for the club is music to my ears. This goes a long way to building that connection with the fan base. And the fact that Madueke is putting in the effort to back those words as well just means even more.

We’ve all seen him tracking back and putting in the defensive work in these opening games, and that’s exactly what we want to see and a big difference to…
