Everton eye last-gasp deal with Newcastle before 11pm deadline – The Guardian

According to The Guardian, Everton are exploring a late move for Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron – but it’s ‘unlikely’ to come off at this stage of the window.

This comes from Ed Aarons, who reports that the Toffees are keen to bring in a new right-winger before tonight’s 11pm deadline. However, it’s claimed that a deal will be difficult to pull off with less than two hours to do business.

Everton have also held talks with Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah, although it seems the Blues are weighing up their options given that Fulham and Nottingham Forest are also looking at the Ghanaian forward.

It seems that Newcastle will only let Almiron leave if we have a right-winger to replace him, yet our attempt to sign Anthony Elanga failed to materialise today, much like Charlotte FC and Fulham’s previous interest in Miggy, who also had admirers in Saudi Arabia.

Understand that Everton are interested in signing Miguel Almiron from Newcastle but told it’s unlikely to happen at this late stage. Everton also in talks with Lyon over Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah
