Everton vs Brighton Player Ratings: Seagulls dominant away f

Brighton would start their season strong with a 0-3 drubbing of Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon, with Sean Dyche’s side only managing to get 37% of the possession and one single solitary shot on target across the 90.

Goals from Mitoma (25), Welbeck (56′) and Adingra (86′) would feel like a rollover from the woes of last season for the Toffees, who again could see themselves in a relegation battle this season if they’re not able to turn their form around in the very near future.

Player of the Match

Mats Wieffer

Mats Wieffer would hit the ground running as a summer transfer for the Seagulls, with the £25 Million Brighton star getting 7.7 for the match and earning the Player of the Match plaudits.

Brighton fans might well be looking at the next Caicedo here, someone that they have missed massively since his move to Chelsea.

Worst Player

Dwight McNeil

Despite other players getting lower ratings for their short appearances for Everton, it was Dwight McNeil who was unfortunately their worst player over 90 minutes.

Although he didn’t do much drastically wrong, he had an extremely quiet afternoon and he’ll be hoping to improve in the coming weeks.

Danny Welbeck

Despite being 33, Danny Welbeck is still delivering for Brighton at the top level, with his 1 goal and 1 assist helping him to reach a 7.5 rating and get all three points for the south coast side.

Kaoru Mitoma

Kaoru Mitoma would also put a shift in for the side, scoring the first goal of the game, getting 7 touches in Everton’s box and winning 7 duels during the 89 minutes he played.
