Things have gone pear-shaped for Vitor Roque during the short time that he has been at FC Barcelona.
Arriving in January amid much fanfare, the 19-year-old striker was heralded as the next best thing coming out from Brazil. But Barcelona fans never really got to see what made him so special as Xavi hardly counted on him.
Things have not improved for Roque under new manager Hansi Flick as the Brazilian failed to do much of note in pre-season.
No longer a part of the project
In fact, AS reports that Hansi Flick has ruled out Vitor Roque as part of his project at Barcelona.
Heading into the first game of the season against Valencia, the Brazilian international has not been registered with La Liga and as such has been left out of the squad list.

The report states that no attempts will be made to register him in the coming days and that Roque’s future definitely lies away from Barcelona.
Attempts are already being made to find a suitable destination for the 19-year-old, who has no shortage of suitors.
After all, clubs like Sporting CP, FC Porto, Everton, and Real Sociedad, among several others, have shown an interest in acquiring his services.
Barcelona would ideally prefer to sell Roque permanently and recoup the €30 million that was spent on his signing, but the possibility of a loan exit is not ruled out either.
In the end, what is clear is that there is simply no turning back for Roque and Barcelona. The Brazilian has no place in the squad and will have to move on this summer.
