Despite the change in management, it appears that Vitor Roque is unlikely to see a reversal of fortunes at FC Barcelona with an exit likely to materialise in the coming days.
The 19-year-old arrived at the Catalan club at the turn of the year but never really got a proper run in Xavi Hernandez’s plans. Things were expected to be different under Hansi Flick, but so far, it has not been.
Roque’s limited minutes in the pre-season fixture against Real Madrid, coupled with new signing Pau Victor’s breakout performances have seemingly put an end to the former’s time at the club.
Roque prioritises Lazio
Now, SPORT reports that if he is indeed forced to leave Barcelona this summer, Vitor Roque would prioritise signing for Serie A heavyweights SS Lazio.
Lazio are in the market for a new striker, with their club president even dropping a hint about a possible move for the Brazilian international.
Recent reports suggested that the Italian capital club would be willing to offer €20 million for 50% rights of the 19-year-old, something that Barcelona do not see as acceptable as they wish to offload him completely for €40 million.

Roque and his entourage are clear that if they are to leave the Catalans, it would only be on a permanent transfer and not a loan exit.
The Brazilian striker has already rejected two lucrative proposals from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and intends to continue in Europe only.
Barcelona also have several loan proposals for Roque, some of them from La Liga. Real Betis and Valencia are interested in him and FC Porto are still in the bidding.
But the Blaugrana believe that a loan could be too risky because if Roque were to fail, Barça could lose their investment forever as his price would drop significantly.
