Barcelona forward’s father addresses future amid exit speculations

Ansu Fati is one of the various loanees to be returning to Barcelona this summer without having a clear roadmap for next season.

After an underwhelming loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, the youngster is looking forward to turning over a new leaf under the tutelage of Hansi Flick.

Until the summer transfer window closes, speculation about his future will persist, with the possibility of an exit still looming large.

After all, Barcelona are looking to oversee a sale in their front line to facilitate new signings and Fati is garnering a fair amount of interest in Spain.

Fati’s father remains tight-lipped over son’s future

Despite joining pre-season training with Hansi Flick, it is unclear if he will stay or seek a move. His father, Bori Fati, had no comment on the situation.

When asked if Ansu Fati would remain at Barça for the 2024/25 season, his father, who had been friendly and smiling with the media, chose not to comment and simply drove away.

As he was leaving the Barcelona facilities today, he exclaimed via MARCA, “Everything is going very well. We are very happy.”

Last year, Bori Fati criticized the Catalan giants for not giving his son enough opportunities, a move that was poorly received by the club and contributed to Fati’s departure.

Now, however, Fati’s father seems to be adopting a more diplomatic approach, avoiding the urge to give in to any media speculation.

Fati looking to prove himself

Indeed, reports have mentioned that the 21-year-old is keen on redeeming himself at the club and aspires to stay put even with the potential arrivals of Nico Williams and Dani Olmo.

The upcoming pre-season presents Fati the perfect opportunity to win over Hansi Flick and that is precisely what he intends to do.
