Barcelona set to launch two different versions of their 2024/25 home kit initially

The official unveiling of FC Barcelona’s 2024/2025 kit is in sight, with merely a few days remaining before the club’s US pre-season tour commences.

The launch of Barça’s 2024-25 first kit is set for this Thursday, marking the club’s 125th anniversary.

The commemorative shirt will be available for purchase in official and department stores soon after the club’s social media launches its promotion.

Barcelona’s matchday jerseys will be exclusive

Indeed, as per Jijantes (h/t Mundo Deportivo) initial batch of shirts will feature the Spotify logo prominently on the front, including the company’s symbol and name.

However, during matches, Barça players will wear a variant of the jersey that only includes the Spotify logo without any accompanying text.

The Catalan giants aim to achieve a cleaner matchday jersey appearance, reducing clutter and making it more easy on the eye.

Spotify’s third campaign as Barcelona’s main shirt sponsor marks a significant change from Rakuten, which held the sponsorship from 2017/18 to 2021/22. The Spotify logo has been updated with minor typography variations.

Given that Nike’s contract extension is set to expire in 2028, the 125th anniversary kit campaign is looking forward to yet another prosperous sales year.

Barça will play their first game with the new design against Manchester City in Orlando early on Tuesday, July 30.

Barcelona selects four Stars to unveil 2024/25 jersey

Indeed, Aitana Bonmati, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Alexia Putellas have all been nominated to be featured in the official jersey presentation.

Given Gavi and Balde’s ties with La Masia, importance to the first team plans and unlieklihood to leave, their inclusion barely astounds.

Meanwhile, Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati’s success with both Barcelona Femeni and the Spanish national team also renders them valid representatives.
