Newcastle United have released an official statement on the club’s ownership structure, confirming that Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi are leaving the club.
In a Friday night announcement, Newcastle have confirmed that PIF and RB Sports & Media (Reuben brothers) will now acquire PCP Capital Partners’ (Amanda Staveley) shareholding in the club.
Newcastle also announce that Staveley will now step down from all of her positions at the club, thanking her and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi for all of their work over the past three years.
The club statement reads: ‘Newcastle United today announces that an agreement has been reached to change the club’s ownership structure. PIF and RB Sports & Media will together acquire PCP Capital Partners’ shareholding in the club and Amanda Staveley will step down from all her positions with Newcastle United. Our sincere thanks to Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi.’
