Euro 2024: France v Poland

Match Preview

France go into tomorrow’s game against Poland at Euro 2024 all but certain of qualification but with their future route through the tournament less clear.

Didier Deschamps’ side could finish in any one of the top three positions in Group D after a win against Austria and a goalless draw with the Netherlands. Les Bleus are currently second – level on points with the table-topping Dutch but trailing on goals scored – ahead of the clash with the Poles in Dortmund.

All eyes will again be on star striker Kylian Mbappe, who broke his nose against Austria but has played a practice game against a local Paderborn team wearing a specially-made mask.

Poland have yet to pick up a point but could still go through with a win. They will hope to have Robert Lewandowski available after he made an appearance from the bench in the defeat to Austria. Coach Michal Probierz has already said he will change his goalkeeper with Wojciech Szczęsny set to retire from international football after the tournament.
