France are set to be without captain and star striker Kylian Mbappe when they take on the Netherlands in Leipzig tomorrow.
Mbappe suffered a broken nose in the 1-0 win against Austria and is unlikely to return before the knockout stages. Fortunately for Les Bleus,, their 1-0 win in Dusseldorf on Monday has put them in a strong position with just one more win required to secure their passage.
The same can be said for the Netherlands, who came from behind to beat Poland 2-1 in their first Group D fixture.
It remains to be seen if Wout Weghorst’s heroics as a late substitute – the former Manchester United man coming off the bench to net an 83rd-minute winner – will see him earn a place in the starting XI.
