German bookie Tipico agrees two-year sponsorship of DFB Pokal

June 3 – Germany’s leading online bookmaker Tipico has secured a two-year sponsorship as the official partner of the German cup, the DFB Pokal.

The sponsorship, which will start with the coming season and run until June 30, 2026, will cover both the men’s and women’s competitions.

“With the DFB on our side, we are now playing in the same team as co-partners of the DFB Pokal and strengthening our role as the largest sports betting provider in German football,” said Kajetan Strini-Brown, director of marketing acquisition at Tipico.

“The DFB Pokal, known for its dramatic matches and surprising twists and turns, is also a perfect fit for Tipico, as we always strive to offer our customers an emotional, exciting and safe sports betting experience.”

Tipico rights include use of the two competition logos on its platforms and in promotional material, as well as logo branding around the games, including on advertising boards and the DFB’s digital channels.

No value was given for the sponsorship.

Dr. Holger Blask, chairman of the management board of DFB, said: “With Tipico, we welcome another partner for the women’s and men’s DFB Cup competitions. We look forward to new activations as part of the two traditional competitions with their finals in Cologne and Berlin. In partnership, we also want to continue and intensify our extensive efforts to deal with sports betting responsibly.”
