Anthony Gordon proved yet again what an outstanding human being he is after he travelled all the way to Manchester to surprise a young Newcastle fan who is currently in hospital fighting Leukemia.
On Saturday afternoon, Laura Tierney posted on X asking if there was any chance of getting in contact with someone at the club to help surprise Josef, who she described as ‘the sweetest most polite kid’ as well as being a huge Gordon fan.
The following day, Laura then posted an update sharing how Gordon had been in contact with her and was on his way to Manchester to surprise Jozef as he was not involved in the matchday squad at Brentford.
Within the thread, Laura then posted the video of Newcastle’s star attacker surprising the young supporter at the hospital and spending an afternoon with him. Watch the clip of him arriving below, followed by some heart-warming pictures from his visit:

After all the questions that were raised about his attitude and personality when he first signed, it’s safe to say that Gordon has proved all the doubters wrong, both on and off the pitch, and deserves huge praise for what was a brilliant gesture.
