Not even a ‘1% chance’ for Xavi to continue at FC Barcelona – report

Despite only reaffirming their commitment to Xavi Hernandez only a few weeks ago, Barcelona could be on the cusp of getting rid of the club legend as manager.

Joan Laporta and Xavi both confirmed in a joint press conference that the latter would continue next season, but things have changed over the past week or so.

Laporta is understood to be unhappy and angry by some of the statements Xavi made regarding the club’s squad and financial situation.

Xavi’s exit certain

Despite the developing situation, there have been some reports suggesting that Xavi could still retain his job as Barcelona manager after securing second place in La Liga.

However, as per El Chiringuito TV, there is zero possibility of that happening. Xavi is certain to be removed as Barça manager in the coming days, with there not even being a 1% chance of him continuing.

Xavi’s statements about the club’s finances and transfers as well as the Vitor Roque situation are believed to have ruffled some feathers.

So much so that despite having agreed to continue with him until next season, Laporta has now dismissed that possibility and is ready to part ways with the former midfielder.

Several candidates have already been identified as potential candidates to take over from the 44-year-old as the Blaugrana manager for next season.

As things stand, Xavi’s run as manager of Barcelona appears to be coming to an end possibly after the game against Sevilla this weekend.
