‘The best academy in the world’ – Pundit explains success of Barcelona gem scoring brace vs Almeria

Journalist Adrian Sanchez has showered Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy with praise. This came after Fermin Lopez scored two fantastic goals against Almeria, securing a 2-0 victory for Barcelona and likely confirming a second-place finish for the season.

“What Fermin Lopez is doing can only be explained by the work done at La Masía, the best academy in the world,” wrote the journalist on his social media channel.

Furthermore, Lopez’s intelligence in positioning and increasing proficiency in finishing make him a valuable asset to the team.

While he may not possess the star potential of players like Gavi or Pedri, his strengths, especially his goal-scoring prowess, make him a promising prospect for the club’s future.

Xavi himself praised Lopez after the match, indicating his potential to be a mainstay in the first team for years to come.

“He is a player who can be in the first team for many years. He gives us energy and has special timing to arrive and finish,” said the manager after the match.
