Following Deco’s appointment as the sporting director of FC Barcelona last summer, he was forced to let go of his player representation agency.
One of the footballers affected by it was Barcelona winger Raphinha, who was represented by the former Portuguese midfielder.
Since Deco had to let go of him as a client, Raphinha has been without an agent and has not appointed anyone despite being approached by several big names.
Raphinha decides not to appoint agent
Now, heading into the summer transfer window, SPORT’s Joaquim Piera has come forward with an important update on Raphinha and his representation.
As per the report, Raphinha has taken the definitive decision not to hire an agent, and he will face the summer transfer window without any external advice.
Several agents, including Pini Zahavi, had approached the Brazilian winger in recent weeks, but in the end, none of them have been able to convince him.

Surprising decision
Raphinha’s decision is surprising, considering that he is one of the players that Barcelona intend to put on the market to make money and finance the operation of the defensive pivot.
The former Leeds United man has offers from Saudi Arabia, which could reach €80 million plus variables.
Both Deco and Xavi know that the winger does not intend to leave Barcelona, where he and his family are happy. And trying to change his mind will be difficult for the club, especially with no intermediary present to talk to in the form of an agent.
Right now, Raphinha is the only player in both the Barcelona first team and the reserve team who does not have an agent.
It is certainly an intriguing situation because the winger will be called up by the Brazil national team to play in Copa America this summer. So, he could be in the United States for over a month without being able to manage his future.
