Girona coach tells Xavi ‘he is always going to lose’ against Guardiola comparisons

Girona manager Michel has expressed support for Xavi’s efforts at Barcelona when he was questioned about the team’s performance and its playing style this season. 

Michel emphasized that Xavi is doing a good job at Barça and that it is essential to consider the challenges he faces. 

He also pointed out the unfairness of comparing Xavi’s work to that of the legendary Pep Guardiola, stating that such comparisons are inherently disadvantageous for Xavi.

“I don’t know if I told Xavi in ​​the first leg. I told him that you will always lose if they remind you of Pep’s Barça,” the Girona manager was quoted by SPORT. 

“This is because that team is unrepeatable. And he was also part of that team as a player,” he added.
