Barcelona winger attracts interest from Saudi Arabia, move complicated

It has become clear over the past week that very few are safe in the Barcelona dressing room.
Four players who were initially said to be untransferable have reportedly lost the aforementioned status, and Raphinha is one such player.

Heading into the summer transfer window, Barcelona are thus attentive to offers for most of their stars including proposals from the MLS and Saudi Arabia. The latter particularly tempts the club considering the financial muscle in the middle-east based country.

Raphinha sale complicated

As revealed by SPORT in a recent report, clubs in Saudi Arabia are indeed interested in several Catalan stars. Raphinha, in particular, has attracted many offers.

Despite the interest in him from the Saudi Pro League, the Brazilian’s departure in June appears complicated, the Spanish outlet elaborates. After all, his influence in the team has only grown in recent months and he is likely not to accept a departure.

The 27-year-old has scored four goals and provided three assists in the team’s last six games across all competitions including a stunning brace against PSG.

With every passing game, he looks more comfortable in the left-wing role and has established himself as a bonafide starter.

All in all, Raphinha has scored five goals and provided nine assists in La Liga and has an additional five goal contributions in the UEFA Champions League.

Three other heavyweights at the exit door

Raphinha is not the only Barcelona heavyweight to be shifted to the status of ‘transferable’, for Frenkie de Jong, Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo stare at the same fate.

The Dutchman is seen as the key to unlock Bernardo Silva’s signing come June, while the Polish star has made it clear that he is not contemplating an exit in the next two years.

Araujo, meanwhile, has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and it remains to be seen if Barcelona cash in on the Uruguayan…
