2024 U.S. Open Cup: Houston Dynamo, LAFC among MLS clubs to enter Round of 32

The 2024 U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 draw is set.

U.S. Soccer revealed the 16 matchups for May’s Round of 32, which is slated to take place between May 7-8. A total of eight MLS clubs will enter the competition at this stage including LAFC, Atlanta United, Seattle Sounders, and FC Dallas.

New York City FC II remains the lone MLS NEXT Pro side in the competition after advancing through three rounds of the competition. Matt Pilkington’s squad rallied Wednesday to defeat Hartford Athletic 3-2 after extra time.

Reigning MLS Cup finalists LAFC will meet former USL-affiliate Las Vegas Lights FC in the Round of 32. Atlanta United will host the USL League One Charlotte Independence while Seattle Sounders welcome USL Championship side Louisville City FC.

Defending U.S. Open Cup champions Houston Dynamo will take on Detroit City FC. Sporting KC and Real Salt Lake round out the eight MLS first teams that will take part in the competition.

Union Omaha, South Georgia Tormenta, and Charlotte Independence are the remaining USL League One clubs in the tournament.

Gonsalves Division
May 8: Tampa Bay Rowdies (USLC) vs. Birmingham Legion FC (USLC)
May 7: FC Dallas (MLS) vs. Memphis 901 FC (USLC)

Hakala-Nolan Division
May 8: Union Omaha (USL1) vs. Sporting Kansas City (MLS)
May 7: Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USLC) vs. FC Tulsa (USLC)

LeToux Division
May 8: Seattle Sounders FC (MLS) vs. Louisville City FC (USLC)
May 8: North Carolina FC (USLC) vs. Phoenix Rising FC (USLC)

Lopez Division
May 7: Sacramento Republic FC (USLC) vs. Monterey Bay F.C. (USLC)
May 7: San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) vs. Oakland Roots SC (USLC)

Mark Division
