Joao Felix raised a few eyebrows recently by publicly admitting that he convinced Bernardo Silva to join Barcelona.
The attacker further revealed that Silva asked him all sorts of details about Barcelona while claiming that the club would be happy to sign the Manchester City playmaker.
Lastly, though, Felix admitted that the situation is not in the hands of Silva right now even if he wants to join Barça.
Barcelona unhappy with Felix
Felix’s recent comments on Bernardo Silva’s future, though, have not gone down well with the Barcelona hierarchy.
According to Diario SPORT, the Barcelona board did not appreciate the openness Felix showed when talking about the future of his fellow countryman.

That is particularly because Silva is a potential transfer target for Barcelona in the coming summer. As such, Barça are of the opinion that such matters must be handled with more discretion.
Following Felix’s comments, Barcelona’s competitors in the market are now exposed to certain information the club wouldn’t like to disclose publicly.
This is not the first time Barcelona warned their players or coaching staff to remain discreet and not publicly disclose any information.
Earlier in the year, Barça were extremely unhappy with subsidiary coach Rafa Marquez after he expressed his desire to replace Xavi Hernandez.
This came shortly after Xavi announced his desire to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season.
Will Silva join Barcelona?
Coming to the point, the prospects of signing Bernardo Silva do appear rather bleak for Barcelona, despite Joao Felix’s statements.
The Portuguese international still has a contract with Man City and is regarded as one of the Premier League’s best playmakers.
Keeping that in mind, Silva could cost upwards of £50 million, which could be a major hurdle for the Blaugrana under the current economic circumstances.
