Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is set to sign a new contract with the North London club.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that an agreement has been reached between the two parties and the player will sign an extension with Arsenal soon. He has returned from the Asian Cup and the player is expected to formalise the contract extension now.
The 25-year-old Japanese international has been an important first-team player for Arsenal and the decision to tie him down to a new deal could prove to be a masterstroke.
