MLS: Sebastian Blanco, Josef Martinez, among players to depart current clubs

The 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs roll on for several clubs, but for others the roster reshuffling for 2024 has continued.

Nashville SC, Portland Timbers, and FC Dallas are the latest MLS clubs to announce their end-of-season roster moves, as they begin preparation towards 2024.

Sebastian Blanco, Josef Martinez, Chicaharito, and Alfredo Morales are just a handful of veterans that will be on the market after parting ways with their respective clubs.

Simon Becher, Matt Freese, Robbie Robinson, and McKinze Gaines are among the players that will return to their clubs after having options exercised for 2024.

Damir Kreilach is a key veteran who also might be on the move despite remaining in negotiations with his current club.

Here is a closer look at which teams have reported their end-of-season roster moves:

Atlanta United

Options Exercised: Aiden McFadden.

Options Declined: Machop Chol, Jackson Conway, Clément Diop, Efraín Morales, Justin Garces.

Expired Contracts: Ozzie Alonso, Miguel Berry, Miles Robinson, Matheus Rossetto, Amar Sejdić, Quentin Westberg.

Expired Loans: Juanjo Purata.

Austin FC

Options Exercised: Damian Las, Daniel Pereira.

Options Declined: Charlie Asensio, Will Bruin, Sofiane Djeffal, Kipp Keller, Adam Lundkvist, Alfonso Ocampo-Chávez, Rodney Redes, Memo Rodriguez, Maxi Urruti.

Expired Contracts: Hector Jimenez.

**The club is in negotiations with Jimenez.

Charlotte FC

Options Exercised: Harrison Afful, McKinze Gaines, Chris Hegardt, Pablo Sisniega, Jan Sobocinski, Adrian Zendejas.

Expired Contracts: Derrick Jones.

**Club is in negotiations with veteran winger Justin Meram.

Chicago Fire

Options Exercised: Jonathan Dean, Jeffrey Gall, Fabian Herbers, Wyatt Omsberg, Spencer Richey.
