Xavi, Ancelotti demand more respect for coaches; ask clubs like Barcelona to clear manager’s payments

Current and former La Liga coaches met in Madrid today for a meeting of the managers that raised several issues that they have been experiencing in La Liga, and to find possible solutions of the same.

Carlo Ancelotti was first to speak up, as per a report by MARCA, and asked for more respect from the referees. The legendary manager explained that the coaches are the first victims of poor refereeing and that do not deserve to be disrespected by the officials.

Immediately after this, a certain Quique Setien spoke about former clubs not clearing payments after sacking managers. The Spanish coach is yet to receive money after being dismissed by Barcelona and Villarreal, and was immediately supported by Alvaro Cervera.

The establishment of a minimum wage in the first and second tier of Spanish football after figuring out the valuation of managers is one of the solutions proposed by the committee.

Barcelona coach Xavi initially complained about the number of press conferences managers are forced to give around every gameday. One before and after each game, which also sometimes include pitch-side media inquiries both pre and post game.

However, Xavi was also outraged to find out about the situation of his colleagues, who have not still not been paid by their former clubs after being sacked, which of course, included his current team Barcelona.

He raised his voice about the same, and asked asked for a smoother operation for coaches while collecting their payments.

Evidently, the coaches in La Liga are fed up with how the federation and everyone involved in the RFEF treats them. Several reports will arise after this meeting, which will likely result in official complains against the club and the league.
