Alejandro Balde and Lamine Yamal are both under contract with Barcleona until the end of this season, and given the way these youngsters have been performing, it comes as no surprise that the Catalan club are keen to tie them down to new deals. The talks were believed to be progressing well, and now, head coach Xavi Hernandez has hinted as much himself.
“As far as I know, both renewals of Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde are well underway and there will be news soon,” the former Barcelona captain said. There are even reports suggesting both players have already signed new contracts, and that the official confirmation is due to come any day now.
Balde and Yamal are both products of the famous La Masia academy, and they’ve never kicked a ball for another club. Many top clubs across Europe are believed to be monitoring their progress, as well as their respective contract situations, but it seems they’ll be staying at the Camp Nou for a long time yet.
