September 15 – Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium is set to become the go-to venue for official NFL games in the UK for another seven years following an extension of the current deal.
The two-year expansion of the partnership between Spurs and the NFL will carry on seeing two regular-season games per year played at the stadium through to the end of the 2029-2030 season.
As part of the agreement, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be given official status as the ‘home of the NFL’ in the UK.
Since its first NFL game in October 2019, the stadium has staged two per year, apart from in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
“Our partnership with the NFL has been integral to our wider vision for the stadium and delivering a sports and entertainment destination in London,” said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
Tottenham’s stadium was custom built with an NFL field below the Premier League team’s moveable pitch. The grass pitch splits into three sections before it’s moved to make way for the astroturf underneath. The 63,000-capacity stadium features designated NFL locker rooms
“NFL gamedays at our stadium are special occasions where we see fans from around the world descend on Tottenham,” Levy added.
