With the international break over and Premier League football returning to St James’ Park this weekend, we’re entering a busy and potentially season-defining spell for Newcastle United.
Between now and the next break, we play SEVEN times in just 23 days, averaging almost a game every three days.
Here’s the fixture list over the next three weeks, where we have four winnable Premier League games, two Champions League ties with AC Milan and PSG, along with a Carabao Cup clash with Man City:
Saturday 16th September – Newcastle v Brentford (5.30pm) Sky Sports – Premier League
Tuesday 19th September – AC Milan v Newcastle (5.45pm) TNT Sports – Champions League
Sunday 24 September – Sheff Utd v Newcastle (4.30pm) Sky Sports – Premier League
Wednesday 27 September – Newcastle v Man City (8pm) Sky Sports – Carabao Cup
Saturday 30 September – Newcastle v Burnley (3pm) – Premier League
Wednesday 4th October – Newcastle v PSG (8pm) – TNT Sports – Champions League
Sunday 8 October – West Ham v Newcastle (2pm) – Premier League
It starts with a huge week, as our trip to the San Siro next Tuesday sandwiched is between winnable league games against Brentford and newly-promoted Sheffield United.
Hopefully we can build some confidence and kickstart our league campaign with a big win at St James’ Park this weekend, sending us to Milan in better spirits in what promises to be a memorable night for the club after 20 years away from Champions League football.
