In yet another staggering turn of events in the Ousmane Dembele departure saga, Barcelona seemingly have not lost hope in trying to earn a higher fee for the player.
Just in from journalist Santi Aouna, the Catalans are supposedly trying to bide their time in sending Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain, where his move seems imminent.
However, even though it seemed like the transfer would be announced this week, proceedings have oddly stalled due to certain discrepancies in agreements between the parties.
Al Hilal’s bumper offer
Aouna suggests that Barcelona are aiming to take full advantage of these delays, and try and help the Frenchman’s transfer to Saudi Arabia materialise.
The deal Al Hilal have offered is reportedly an offer of 100 million euros, which would be a monumental boost for Barcelona’s finances, and the Saudi Arabians would more than comfortably take on his wages – or even offer more.

They are also reportedly offering 50 million euros in commissions, which makes the deal very lucrative for all parties.
Roadblocks to the deal
The finances, attractive as they may be, currently don’t seem to have swayed Dembele from his decision to move to PSG.
He has reportedly refused the current proposition and wants to move to the French capital as things stand.
However, if the move does not materialise soon, Barcelona could get more time to push for the Saudi deal to take shape.
The Catalans have been contemplating recalling Dembele to Barcelona for the time being, and there is also a possibility that he may be available with the squad for the Joan Gamper trophy game.
It was reported earlier that due to certain discrepancies with the documents, PSG have not been able to advance the transfer at the speed they would have liked to.
Barcelona will be hoping that they manage to ship the player to the Middle East and gain a cash injection that could be huge in the remainder of the summer…
