Barcelona will be looking to register their first win on their pre-season tour of the USA when they lock horns with arch-rivals Real Madrid in an hour or so.
With the game set to kick off shortly, manager Xavi Hernandez has announced the starting XI that will be taking the field against Los Blancos at the AT&T Stadium.
In what does not come as a major surprise, Marc-Andre ter Stegen starts in goal for the La Liga champions and will also captain the team, with Sergi Roberto not playing.
Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, and Alejandro Balde form the defensive line for Barcelona against Real Madrid.
There had been talk of Xavi going in with four central midfielders to counter Real Madrid’s tactics and that is the strategy he has opted for.
Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, Frenkie de Jong, and Pedri all start, with the latter likely to essay the role of a false-winger. Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele line up in the attacking unit.
