Bayern Munich will face off against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Group C on Tuesday night. And ahead of the game, the German champions have received an injury boost.
Star prodigy Jamal Musiala had picked up a knock in the Bavarian giants’ Bundesliga clash on Saturday against VfB Stuttgart. But he is fully fit and ready to take part in the Champions League clash in the coming week, reports Tobi Altschaffl.
Musiala has firmly established himself as one of the finest young footballers in Europe and has become a key part of the setup at the Allianz Arena under Julian Nagelsmann.
The 19-year-old versatile attacking midfielder has already racked up a tally of six goals and two assists from just eight matches in all competitions for Bayern Munich so far in the ongoing campaign.
Musiala was on target for Die Roten against Stuttgart on Saturday as the Bundesliga champions were held to a 2-2 draw at home.
Having found the back of the net around the hour mark, the German international was taken off twenty minutes later for Sadio Mane after sustaining a knock.
However, as per the report, Musiala is pain-free and has given the green light for himself to be involved in the Champions League encounter against Barcelona.
While Musiala, a childhood FC Barcelona supporter, is expected to be fit and available, the Bavarian giants will likely be without the services of winger Kingsley Coman.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich were drawn in the same group in the Champions League last season as well. The Catalans were thrashed by the German champions in both their matches, with a 6-0 aggregate scoreline.
Xavi & co. will be gunning for revenge when they face Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
